Assistant Dean - Harkey School of Nursing at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences

Provides strategic vision and operational leadership to associate and baccalaureate degree nursing programs.  Represents the academic vision of the Harkey School of Nursing to the rest of Cabarrus College and the greater community.  Manages and evaluates full-time, part-time, and adjunct nursing faculty and support personnel.  Directs ongoing assessment of program and student learning outcomes.  Addresses student inquiries and concerns, develops and implements program budgets, and ensures adherence to approval and accrediting bodies' requirements. 

Masters degree in Nursing required.  Doctorate in Nursing or current enrollment in doctoral nursing program preferred.  At least four years experience in teaching at the associate or baccalaureate level required.  Registered nurse with a current unrestricted license to practice in N. C.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching and success in developing community relationships.  Knowledge of and experience in program and/or college accreditation processes.   Experience in program planning, budgeting, and human resource management.  Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills.  Strong computer slills required with experience in delivery of online instruction preferred. Congenial and able to inspire confidence in others.
